I dive OC and CCR to Adv Mix Gas (AMG) as well as teach OC Technical Diving to AMG and can train Technical Instructors to EMG.

We are lucky to have a really good team of dedicated instructors in the NW and I am constantly looking to expand this group with the right people and will happily work with you to develop your skills. If you want to help or know more, please get in touch.

Job Title: Communications officer
Biography:

I learnt to dive 30 years ago and still love the experience of going under the water in the same way as I did back then. I am a big fan of club branch diving which lets face it, is the heart of BSAC. Whether a group that meets at the swimming pool or one that has its own club house, we all share that passion for descending into the deep.

We take for granted the excellent training provided by the BSAC and Im proud to be part of the NW regional training team that delivers more courses than any other region. One of my roles within this team is to promote communications within NW branches. We have a social media presence and a new web site however I manage the NW Inter-Branch email group separately. I dont bombard branches with too many emails, however it is important to ensure that branches who have signed up, are aware of what we are doing and what courses are available, plus reminders of any BSAC announcements. The email facility is also for branches to promote their branch activity such as vacancies on dive trips and social events.

Job Title: Technical Instructor
Biography:

I am a HSE qualified commercial diver, BSAC Advanced Instructor and BSAC Explorer Mixed Gas Instructor, BSAC Mixed Gas Blending Instructor and First Aid at Work Trainer. Having spent more than 21 years in the military as a training officer, I am a qualified teacher and NVQ assessor who now runs Dive Services - a commercial diving and training facility in South Wales.

I love nothing more than helping develop divers to become the best they can be, whether that is through developing their diver skills, diver training or developing their emergency first aid skills.

My diving passions are diving on wrecks, just can not get enough of them. The majority of my diving is within the UK, so I am most comfortable in the British seas. Six trips to Scapa flow and I still dont believe I have touched the surface of the diving there.
